It’s great to be commissioned to film a PR video for a UK manufacturing success story. The grand opening event for a 34,000 square-foot Tooling Centre of Excellence in Burnley. This new state-of-the-art facility will increase the capacity of Kaman Tooling, already a world-leading supplier of mould and assembly tooling, along with ground support and handling equipment. The opening of the new facility will create 50 new jobs in the next two years.
The event was filmed with a single man crew —helping to keep the cost down. The footage was shot, edited and online within 48hrs, even with a day taken travelling up north. Please do get in touch if you’d like to have video coverage of any forthcoming events.
Filming in the wettest winter on record certainly requires a flexible approach to shooting schedules. We finally ended-up videoing the four projects, for Summerfield Charitable Trust, around Gloucestershire on the shortest day of the year; it was almost dark when the last interview was in the can!
The video is now being used to promote The Summerfield Charitable Trust, which was established by Ronald Summerfield, a Cheltenham antique dealer, who shortly before his death in 1989, set up the trust to develop community and environmental projects from around Gloucestershire. Working alongside Bella Janson, who produced the video, we filmed four projects, these being: The Wilson, Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, Dudbridge Locks Hydro Scheme, Gloucester City Farm and the Gamelan workshop, Pittville Pump Room. Please take a look at the great work the Trust is doing around Gloucestershire.
