Designing great websites for great brands
We can integrate your Social Media and Digital Marketing and add video into the mix, too. Then, deliver traffic to your site with skilful search engine optimisation (SEO). TurnRound designs websites that stand out and are delivered on time and within budget!
Websites designed by TurnRound have a tangible impact and are easy to use with exciting content and user involvement. All our sites are developed in the UK from our studio in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.
TurnRound produce engaging videos and interactive content for both online and offline projects – such as iPads and larger exhibition touchscreen systems. Offline projects include touch-screen programming for retail, public information displays, exhibitions, and award-winning media-rich DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
User-friendly website design
Our multimedia background means we understand what works on-screen. We’ve been designing user interfaces and programs for years. Our experience in game development, video production and broadcast animation gives us the skills to create exciting interfaces that provide a clear pathway to the information you and your clients need.
Smartphone-enabled responsive web design
Does your website reflect consumers’ needs at home and on the move? Your smartphone website must be fast, easy to use and visible on a small screen!
Smartphone users expect to be able to buy that last-minute gift, find a hotel, book a hair appointment or find your business. Your site has thousands of opportunities to engage with customers while they’re on the move! And it doesn’t have to be an app!
What happens when customers visit a smartphone-enabled website on their phone? Simply put, as they enter a responsive website from a smartphone, the site automatically detects that they are a mobile user and seamlessly reformats pages to a tablet and mobile-friendly version. The menu and interface are simplified and easier to use with your fingertips rather than a mouse.
Surfing the web on a mobile device is becoming second nature
We can even make finding your locations easy with Google Maps integration.
We’ll work with you to identify your mobile customers’ needs from your smartphone site, liaise with your technical and marketing teams to see what’s possible and understand your target audience. Then, an analysis of your existing website content will take place. We can convert this information into smaller chunks targeted at mobile users – designed to look great on small screens. Above all, navigation will be simplicity at its best and the site will be easy to view.
Enrich your website with video and animation
Let us create a media-rich website that streams video material to engage and capture visitors to your site before they click elsewhere!
High-speed fibre and 4G networks allow viewers to watch a continuous stream of full-motion video via their computer screen, smartphone, or tablet whenever they access your website.
TurnRound websites exploit our new multimedia world; see product videos, corporate or PR films, TV ads, product news – even short films featuring animation, comedy, and music – all perfectly integrated into your site design.
If a picture’s worth a thousand words, think how powerful a moving image must be
Are you exploiting the power of video?
Online Advertising – Pay-per-click
Running your own Google AdWords or Bing pay-per-click (PPC) campaign needn’t be daunting. At TurnRound, we can help you get the most out of your marketing budgets, help you target keywords, develop ads, localise your campaign, and ensure landing pages and the website design are optimised to generate more business!
Social media advertising with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn offers a great way to engage with existing and potential customers. Social media ads can target users by interest, demographics, education and location. This makes it ideal for brand awareness campaigns, niche targeting or even focussed on consumers who are fans of competitor brands.
We’re committed to generating the best-targeted leads, whatever your business or your budget.
Delivering information quickly and effectively is a must for any website
Bespoke design, not just templates
It’s no longer enough to have a page on the web. Your website is your shop window to the world, and whilst it doesn’t need to be big-budget, it needs to impress from the start. We know clients have differing needs, so we tailor our services accordingly and build your desired website. We look at your aims and objectives for the web, then offer advice and solutions. It may be a helping hand in rebranding an existing website, a total rethink of your corporate image and web strategies, or pointing you in the right direction to an organisation that could help with your order processing software. This is before we even start work on the site.
New technologies, with traditional skills
The internet is rapidly becoming more animated and interactive, with streaming video becoming the norm; our experience and contacts in video and animation production could give your organisation’s site a natural edge.
We understand how people interact with computers
Happy users = more traffic and greater profits, too. Is your site moving on?
TurnRound’s sites are bespoke – not template-based, so a face-to-face meeting is always a good start. An understanding of your needs is the cornerstone of successful website development. We have listed below what would be helpful to cover in the first briefing.
The web design process – working with TurnRound
What we would like to know:
- what does the site need to communicate?
- what is its focus: reference, e-commerce, or promotional?
- who is your target audience, and what will they want from the site?
- who are your competitors?
- how does it fit into your new or existing communications strategy?
- technical considerations: do you have existing web hosting, domain names?
- would it benefit from animation, specialist graphics or video?
- when do you want it?
- and finally, an indication of budgets is helpful, but not essential.
1. Our Response
We respond to the brief with a detailed creative proposal. This will outline our approach to the site, its potential structure, content, and how and who will be working on your project. We outline the audience you are targeting, the best cost-effective methods of building the site and the implications of these. As well as this, other technical and creative considerations will be addressed and explained as necessary. You will be given basic time scales/schedules and a full budget breakdown.
2. Site Structure (wire-framing) look and feel
After a more detailed briefing, you will be presented with a draft site structure (flow diagram) for discussion and approval before work commences. Also, we may show you a few working designs of how the site could look and function for you to trial.
‘3-clicks to anywhere’ – we aim to work within this rule wherever possible. This means that the navigation will be designed in such a way that from any place within the web site, you can reach anywhere else in 3-clicks or less.
Areas of discussion
- Site navigation
- Menu styles/positions
- Colour schemes
- Site structure and organisation
- Media content
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Content management / Maintenance
- Pay per click advertising
At this stage, we will also set-up the web hosting and register your chosen domain names, if needed.
3. Providing us with images, text and graphics
Existing corporate brochures, identities, logos etc should be supplied to us, preferably in digital form so that we can match your existing corporate style. It is very important, at this stage, to get as many design decisions made because after work has started it can be costly to make radical changes.
4. Who does what?
Websites can be simple or complex, be made by one person or involve a whole team. Depending on your needs and the scale of your website project, the schedule could be full of job titles that you may have heard of but might not know what they do…
- Web Project Manager
- Copywriter (SEO)
- Graphic Designer
- Web Designer
- Content editor
- Web/Database programmer
- Video encoder
5. Site testing
The test site will be updated throughout construction so that you can always see the progress of the site. It will be constantly tested on the most popular browsers, on the most popular operating systems, throughout the whole site-building process.
We do not use any proprietary technologies in our web sites that restrict its viewing to specific browsers or operating systems, or that require additional downloads to view the basic content.
6. Final upload and GO LIVE!
With the site finished it’s time for your site to go live to its new worldwide audience.
7. Publicising the site
As soon as the site has gone live, you need to publicise it. This can take many forms and we will discuss with you which methods are suitable:
- Paid for internet advertising
- Adding the web address to your business stationery
- Advertising in print publications
- Submission to search engines
- Targeted email campaigns
Delivery of information quickly and effectively is a must for any website. We pride ourselves in delivering good-looking sites that are easy to navigate. Just take a look at a small sample of the sites we’ve designed.
